About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Application Engineer to join our team. This role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our applications through effective monitoring, scripting, and cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Reliability: Design and implement strategies to ensure the reliability and uptime of critical applications.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Develop and maintain monitoring tools and metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Scripting: Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Performance Optimization: Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability.
- Incident Response: Lead incident response and post-incident reviews to prevent future occurrences.
- Cloud Services: Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to enhance application reliability and scalability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and configurations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements to enhance application reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Application Engineering roles.
Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Experience with monitoring tools and metrics (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Strong knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
