Job Description

  • Diagnose and treat patients with infectious diseases, including bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, laboratory results, and clinical guidelines
  • Prescribe medications, antibiotics, antivirals, and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including nurses, pharmacists, and specialists
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding infectious disease prevention, treatment, and management
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in infection control initiatives, including surveillance, prevention, and management of healthcare-associated infections
  • Stay updated on current research, advancements, and best practices in the field of infectious diseases
  • Collaborate with public health agencies and community organizations to address infectious disease outbreaks and public health concerns
