Senior Software Tester

Preferred experience 8 years or more

The Role

We are looking for a result-driven software tester to be responsible for designing automated testing and running tests on software usability. The software tester will conduct automated and manual tests, analyze the results, and report observations to the design team. You will also be involved in manual testing activities, and sometimes have to interact with clients or business teams in order to understand the requirements of the product.

To be successful as a software tester, you should have a working knowledge of test automation tools, software and test design, the capability to run through tests, and the ability to analyze the results. You should have good communication skills, and up-to-date knowledge of software programming and software test design.

Responsibilities

Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.

Implementing automated testing scripts for web portals, server applications and mobile applications.

Implementing tests to run performance testing.

Executing tests on software usability using test automation tools.

Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.

Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.

Interacting with clients or business teams to understand product requirements.

Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.

Requested Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Experience using test automation tools eg. Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JMeter

Experience in using security tools will be added advantage eg. SonarQube, Nessus

Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.

Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.

Working knowledge of programming/ scripting.

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.

Professional level of English
