Do you want to create engaging, helpful, and attractive digital platforms frequented by millions of visitors worldwide Autodesk's Digital Experience Engineering team is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer who is passionate about building and delivering innovative solutions as part of our common platform.
As part of the Horizontal Capabilities Engineering team, you will implement exciting features that engage and influence Autodesk customers globally. Our team faces a variety of unique and interesting challenges, from implementing critical services, building new tools and components, and creating new and engaging end-user experiences, to digging into low-level performance details and streamlining processes.
As someone with experience working on teams developing modern cloud-based services in a fast-paced, agile environment, you will know how to build, guide, and inspire teams to stay at the cutting edge. You will report to a Software Development Director and work in a hybrid work mode.
Responsibilities
Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs
Build high-quality code using unit testing and test-driven development
Participate in code and document reviews, mentoring junior developers on best practices
Collaborate with architects, DevOps, Support, and product organizations on technical issues
Interpret and translate business needs into technical requirements and accurate estimates
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance
Work with the team to troubleshoot code-level issues
Apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems
Contribute to the design and architecture to ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable software
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience in Java, Node.js, and React.js
Knowledge of public cloud service platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Hands-on experience with unit testing
Knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda
Experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies
Proactive, quick decision-maker with excellent communication and written skills

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location.
