Job Description
IT experience: 4-7 years
Job Location: Pune
The responsibility of a Senior Software Engineer is to develop, test and maintain the NICE CXone WEM applications. Key responsibilities include all tiers of the NICE CXone technology, including (but not limited to) design and development of NICE CXone products and features, unit testing, code reviews, resolving defects encountered during the QA cycle, supporting the production environment, and assisting other developers in a team environment utilizing agile development processes.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- 4+ year of experience and advanced mastery of the Java language and its ecosystem of tools and frameworks; proficient with Java algorithms, data structures and design patterns.
- Excellent hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot & Hibernate.
- Strong experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience developing and supporting multi-tiered, service-oriented applications in a production environment.
- Experience working in a Continuous Integration and Delivery environment using tools such as Jenkins.
- Strong experience of working in Agile environment and knowledge of tools and process required.
Basic Qualifications / Education:
- You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day design and implementation tasks for the product. As a Senior Engineer, you will be reporting to Technical Manager and accountable to the product Software Architect for the technical implementation while ensuring that it meets the design specifications for functionality and quality.
- You will work closely with the Software Architect to define the design specifications and guidelines and serve as a technical lead and mentor for the junior engineers on the team.
- It is expected that you will be producing high-quality, well-tested code 85% of the time with the remaining time spent in design discussions, mentoring sessions, and technology reviews.
- Contributing to the overall design specification and standards that will enable the team to produce highly functional and sustainable products that amaze the customers.
- Leading by example in producing copious amounts of well-constructed and well-tested code that is checked-in and merged daily.
- Responsible for ensuring code productivity and quality by managing pull requests and proper engineering practices for Continuous Integration and Deliverability.
- Actively participate in meetings related to Agile development methodology such as planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily status reporting; influence and encourage best practices and mutual accountability.
Good to have skills: -
- Familiarity and/or experience with public cloud infrastructure and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience developing and supporting hosted and/or multi-tenant software services (Software-as-a-Service).
- Experience working in a modified Agile methodology development environment and using work item management tools like JIRA.
