Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and to deliver code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. This includes developing, configuring, or modifying complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments. This role facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications.
About the Team
Supply chain technology - Transportation and network planning
Transportation and network planning ensures optimized load planning and reduce transportation costs along with timely delivery, improving speed to shelf, shipment prioritization, optimized routes and appropriate carrier selection.
In addition to above, we create reusable software components and services that manage and power our transportation - planning to execution to carrier invoicing to payments - supporting our business by providing the right set of tools they need to get the items to customer on time.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct process mapping and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
Producing, testing and debugging code writing high quality code, conducting thorough testing, and debugging to ensure functionality and performance.
Collaborating with teams working closely with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to develop software solutions that meets users requirements
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, technical design and workflows
Automation and debugging - automation of test cases, debug and detect issues to ensure quality and system reliability
Staying updated with technologies keeping up-to date with latest advancements in software development and integrating new technologies as needed.
Primary Skills (must have)
Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python etc..
Experience with scripting like Shell scripts
Experience with Hadoop and Hive
Experience with Kafka, Airflow, IBM MQ, ReST APIs,
Experience with Databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB and writing complete SQL
Understanding the internal working of Object oriented programming, Jenkins, Docker, K8s, GIT, Json, Yaml, XML, data structures & algorithms.
Problem solving abilities.
Deep understanding of the SDLC (software development lifecycle) including requirement gathering, design development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
Experience with Version control systems like GIT for version control.
Secondary Skills (desired)
Experience with GCP or any public cloud
Experience with Power BI, tableau and data modeling
Experience with spark, spark streaming, databricks and custom frameworks.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
5 years of experience in software development or a related field
4 years of experience in database technologies
4 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
5 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization
5 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software
5 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment
3 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
3 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
5 years of experience working with source code control systems
Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment tools
5 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
