We are looking for a Software Engineer (Fullstack) to join our dynamic team to provide support, maintenance, improvements and develop new and existing Wordpress websites. You will have the opportunity to work on several different small web projects and initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Develop and manage Wordpress websites ensuring they follow the design, user friendly and meet SEO standards
- Migrate some existing websites from third party agencies to our own platform in AWS
- Implement robust tracking and analytics systems across Wordpress websites, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of user interactions, site performance, and key metrics to drive decision-making
- Optimize website performance for mobile platforms and core web vitals to enhance user experience
- Address and resolve technical issues related to website functionality, performance, and SEO.
- Prevent and resolve any issues related to server, database, CDN delivery, and attacks sometimes with support.
- Setup and manage cloud infrastructure components, including servers, storage, domain management and others.
- Ensure scalability, security and reliability of resources
- Perform manual testing of components or web applications
- Document code, architecture and processes
- Stay up to date with latest development trends, tools and technologies
- Proactively apply new knowledge to improve existing projects
Required Skills And Experience
- Proven 4+ years work experience as a Fullstack Developer with a strong portfolio of projects
- Proficient in Object Oriented PHP, with a focus on Wordpress theme, plugin and custom Gutenberg block development, effective use of the power of hooks and custom fields to enhance functionality
- Solid grasp of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience in server configuration and familiarity with shell commands
- Foundational to intermediate proficiency in SQL database management
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Work in an agile cross-functional team with close relationships with consultants and stakeholders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international environment and also ability to work individually
- Proactively improve our projects and ways of working if there is a need
- Proven problem-solving skills to effectively analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions within web development.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to knowledge sharing and mentoring within the engineering team
