As a founding engineer, you'll have a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform and team. This role is ideal for someone versatile and adaptableyou'll not only write code and architect scalable solutions but also help lead the tech team, recruit top talent, and foster an engineering culture from the ground up. Working with large, tick-by-tick datasets, you'll drive the creation of a high-performance platform and set high standards for the engineers who will join us down the line.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Develop: Design and build a scalable, high-performance platform capable of processing extensive datasets.
- Code & Lead: Focus on hands-on coding while also leading the tech team as it grows, establishing best practices and driving the technical vision.
- Full-Stack Development: Work across the stack, contributing to both frontend and backend, and manage DevOps as needed.
- Talent Attraction & Mentorship: Recruit, mentor, and set high standards for incoming engineers, building a strong engineering culture.
- Customer-Focused Development: Collaborate with customers to gather insights and ensure that the product aligns with their needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in both backend and frontend development.
- Experience with large datasets and scalable architecture design.
- Familiarity with a variety of technologies across the stack, including DevOps.
- Hands-on approach with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a founding or early-stage startup role.
- Familiarity with data-intensive applications and database management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an iterative approach to development.
