Job Description
As a Junior Software Developer, you will work closely with experienced professionals to design, develop, and deploy software solutions using Java, microservices architecture, Docker, EKS, SQL, NoSQL databases, and AWS services. The ideal candidate will embrace a whole-team approach, possess the ability to write unit tests, contribute to test automation, and demonstrate familiarity with DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and contribute to the development of scalable solutions.
Work under the guidance of senior developers to implement Java-based applications and microservices.
Gain hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Docker, and container orchestration platforms like Amazon EKS.
Learn and apply best practices in SQL and NoSQL database technologies within the development process.
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
Embrace a whole-team approach by actively participating in team discussions, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
Write and execute unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions.
Contribute to test automation efforts to support the continuous improvement of development processes.
Familiarize yourself with DevOps practices and tools, participating in CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives.
Demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional growth within the software development field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Solid understanding of Java programming fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
Exposure to AWS services and cloud environments.
Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating effective communication skills.
Eagerness to contribute to unit testing, test automation, and DevOps practices.
