As a Senior Software Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the successful implementation, configuration, and support of the SNOW Atlas platform within our engineering and CAD environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless integration of SNOW Atlas with engineering workflows and CAD applications to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and customization of SNOW Atlas modules to support engineering and CAD functions.
- Configure workflows, forms, reports, and dashboards tailored to meet specific departmental requirements.
- Integrate SNOW Atlas with existing engineering systems and applications for optimal functionality.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues related to SNOW Atlas functionality and integration with CAD tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to address system performance and usability issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.
- Recommend and implement best practices to optimize SNOW Atlas configurations and workflows.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate end-users on SNOW Atlas features, workflows, and best practices.
- Create and maintain documentation related to SNOW Atlas configurations, integrations, and support procedures.
- Liaise with SNOW Atlas vendors and third-party service providers to resolve escalated technical issues and coordinate software upgrades.
- Stay informed about SNOW Atlas platform updates and new features to leverage for continuous improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support projects involving SNOW Atlas integration with engineering and CAD applications
- Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables related to SNOW Atlas implementation and enhancements.
Technical Experience
- Proficiency with SAM tools SNOW Atlas platform.
- In-depth knowledge of various licensing models, including subscription, perpetual, and concurrent licensing.
- Familiarity with licensing terms and conditions for major software vendors like Microsoft, CAD and engineering.
- Experience managing software audits and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and legal requirements.
- Knowledge of different operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, and how software is installed and managed on these platforms.
- Experience with software deployment tools like Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Intune, or similar.
- Understanding of software licensing and management in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Skills in managing and querying databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) to track and report on software usage and licensing.
- Ability to analyze software usage data and generate reports on compliance, usage patterns, and financial impact.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software inventories, licensing agreements, and compliance procedures.
- Proficiency in generating detailed reports and dashboards to support decision-making and communicate software asset status to stakeholders.
- Skills in planning and managing software asset management projects, including software upgrades, license renewals, and audits.
- Experience working with IT, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure effective software asset management.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell or Python to automate software management tasks and data extraction.
- Familiarity with automation tools for software deployment, inventory management, and compliance checks.
- Skills in managing software budgets, forecasting costs, and optimizing software investments.
- Ability to identify and implement strategies to optimize software usage and reduce costs.
- Understanding of relevant compliance standards and regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR) that affect software asset management.
