Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Location:Bangalore

Business & Team:

Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

You will be working as a part of Retail Technology to achieve their strategic objectives through planning, prioritising, delivering and supporting projects and initiatives. Your team's success will be realised through partnering with business and IT teams across business domain and Technology to deliver beautiful experiences and exceptional capabilities to our branch applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Have experience in developing and operating large-scale distributed SRE/platform tooling, always with automation in mind
• Have experience in gathering and analysing metrics from cloud platforms to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Have experience in system design consulting, cloud platform management and capacity planning
• Experience in driving automation and implementing end to end monitoring and observability dashboards across cloud hosting platforms
• Have experience in applying Software Engineering principles to our operational services.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills on cloud deployments.
• Thrive working in incident response environments, designing and implementing secured solutions.
• Have experience in measuring and continuously optimising system performance with an eye toward pushing capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs and innovating for continuous improvement
• Are passionate about DevOps/Automation and have a powerful desire to solve complex problems in a systematic approach - e.g using PowerShell.

Essential Skills:

Total Experience: 8 to 10 Years.

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but having significant experience and exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team

• Have managed large scale IDP releases, risk and incident management.
• Experience with observability toolset such as Prometheus, Grafana, Mirmir, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk
• Experience with Ping products is highly regarded.
• General understanding of OIDC Authentication Flows CIAM principles
• Experience operating and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
• Experience supporting services and infrastructure in AWS using automation
• Experience with Infrastructure as code and automating manual tasks
• Mentoring and coaching capabilities, able to influence practices and mindsets in the crew
• Cloud experience, specifically with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
