Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

This role is contributing to the Motion business System Drives division in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Working as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects with limited supervision.
- Performing various tasks in the assigned area (e.g., mechanics, electronics, thermal, software), from building concepts, gathering requirements to designing, implementing, integrating, testing, technology transfer or maintenance, and operations.
- Understanding and applying applicable processes, standards, guidelines, and requirements, including architectural and design constraints.
- Driving the achievement of assigned targets (quality, time, scope, cost) and raising and addressing risks.
Qualifications For The Role
- You are highly skilled in Participating in refinement meetings to understand the Grid Connected Converter components and System Topology requirements.
- Grid-connected converter Power component model development for non-Real-time and Real-time simulations.
- Performing model requirement analysis, Development, System execution and Integration to real-time simulators.
- Performing Load flow study, short circuit study, transient stability issues, Harmonic analysis etc. on the power system network connected to the converter using PSCAD/PowerFactory or any other simulation tools.
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in modelling of power electronics components, Grid connected converters. Domain knowledge of Power Electronics, Power Converters and Converter Techniques with experience of 4-8 years of experience.
- Degree in Bachelor's / master's degree in power electronics/Power systems, electrical engineering
- You are at ease communicating in English to interface with stakeholders across world
