Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced SEO strategies to boost organic visibility, traffic growth, and lead generation, aligned with company OKRs.
- Prioritise Core Web Vitals and page experience, ensuring fast load times, smooth interactivity, and visual stability across devices, especially mobile.
- Leverage AI and machine learning for keyword research, content personalization, and predictive analysis of search trends, including voice search and visual search.
- Adapt to algorithm updates (e.g., Google Core Updates, Helpful Content Updates) by proactively staying informed and adjusting SEO strategies to avoid ranking drops.
- Use AI tools and automation to analyse search trends, competitor data, and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and efficiency in SEO efforts.
- Implement technical SEO audits, fixing site speed, structured data, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and indexing issues. Optimise schema markup for rich search results.
- Optimise for new search trends like Google's Multitask Unified Model (MUM), voice search, and visual search, ensuring you capture emerging search behaviours.
- Ensure content aligns with Google's E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authority, Trustworthiness) guidelines, focusing on user intent and optimising content structure for maximum relevance.
- Create scalable link-building strategies using digital PR and influencer outreach to build authority and earn high-quality backlinks.
- Automate SEO processes for reporting, audits, and keyword tracking using advanced SEO tools and custom Python scripts for faster data analysis and insights.
- Optimise for key SERP features like featured snippets, People Also Ask, knowledge panels, and other rich search features to capture more search real estate.
- Work collaboratively with content creators, web developers, and marketing teams to embed SEO best practices across all digital touchpoints and content strategies.
- Stay informed on algorithm changes and adapt quickly to Google's AI-driven updates, such as core updates, ensuring proactive adjustments in strategy to maintain strong rankings.
- Utilise strategic thinking to align SEO efforts with broader business objectives, ensuring that SEO contributes to measurable impacts such as lead generation, conversions, and brand visibility.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record of developing SEO strategies that drive organic growth and lead generation, with specific examples of successful implementations.
- Expertise in optimising Core Web Vitals (e.g., Largest Contentful Paint, First Input Delay, Cumulative Layout Shift) and experience with performance tools like Lighthouse, GTMetrix, or WebPageTest.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered SEO tools (e.g., Clearscope, MarketMuse, or Frase) to enhance keyword research, optimise content, and predict search trends.
- Deep understanding of Google's Core Updates, algorithm adjustments, and experience in creating strategies to recover or improve rankings post-update.
- Technical SEO proficiency in performing audits using tools like Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, or Sitebulb, with specific experience in fixing crawling, indexing, and rendering issues.
- Schema markup knowledge with proven experience implementing structured data using JSON-LD for rich snippets, FAQs, and product reviews.
- In-depth knowledge of voice search optimization tactics, including optimising content for natural language processing (NLP) and voice query intent.
- Experience with visual search optimization, particularly focusing on image SEO, alt text, and structured data for products and media.
- Mastery in link-building strategies with examples of successful digital PR campaigns and relationship-building for backlink acquisition from high-authority websites.
- Ability to automate SEO tasks (e.g., using Python or JavaScript) for recurring reporting, site audits, and real-time keyword tracking using tools like Google Sheets or Data Studio.
- Experience optimising for SERP features, including creating content that ranks in featured snippets, People Also Ask, and knowledge panels.
- Collaborative experience working across teams, especially with content strategists, web developers, and UX designers to implement SEO initiatives from the ground up.
- Proficiency with Google Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager, and third-party tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz, ensuring advanced usage for deep data analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authority, Trustworthiness) and a demonstrated ability to create or optimise content that complies with these guidelines.
- Experience with content architecture and site structure improvements, focusing on navigation, silos, and internal linking to boost organic rankings.
- Fluency in algorithm-driven changes like BERT, MUM, or RankBrain, with evidence of adapting SEO strategies to align with these updates.
- Strategic mindset to align SEO efforts with broader business goals, providing measurable KPIs related to lead generation, revenue, and brand visibility.

- Experience optimising for multilingual websites and international SEO.
