Role: Senior Security Operations Specialist
Job Summary: As a Security Operations Specialist, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our organization's information systems by implementing a comprehensive security strategy. With a focus on Zero Trust principles, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our data across cloud and on-premises environments. Your expertise in cloud security, application security, and proactive threat identification will be crucial in mitigating risks and enhancing our security posture. Your role will involve close collaboration with cloud and application architects to ensure secure design and architecture, as well as the development and automation of security processes to maintain a resilient and responsive security operations framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) to ensure the security of cloud environments, compliance with industry standards, and to identify misconfigurations and enforce security policies.
- Oversee the security of SaaS applications and ensure that security best practices are followed to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Collaborate with cloud architects to ensure secure cloud architecture designs and to integrate security considerations into the cloud development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with application architects to ensure secure application architecture designs and to integrate security considerations into the application development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans, demonstrating strong knowledge of incident response protocols and procedures, and leading the response to security incidents.
- Automate security processes and develop scripts to enhance the efficiency of security operations, incident handling, and to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage the vulnerability management process to identify and mitigate risks, and to ensure that patches and updates are applied in a timely manner.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation and remediation of security breaches, and to ensure that lessons learned are integrated into future security practices.
- Stay ahead of the latest security trends and technologies to continuously improve the organization's security measures and to adopt innovative solutions that enhance security posture.
- Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure by designing and implementing robust security measures in line with the organization's cloud strategy.
- Assess and improve application security by conducting regular security reviews, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with software supply chain security standards.
- Implement and manage security measures specific to AI systems to protect against threats and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of AI-driven processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.E., B.Tech.) in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field in Information Systems or Cybersecurity.
- 5-7 years of experience in a security operations or related role.
- Profound knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and implementing cloud security best practices.
- Proven ability in penetration testing, red teaming, and other ethical hacking methodologies.
- Experience with cloud and application architecture, design, and review.
- Demonstrated expertise in Linux environments, including security features, and kernel security enhancements.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting.(Good to have)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) mandatory.

- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior security analysts.
