Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Security Tester specializing in Penetration Testing to join our dynamic team. As a Product Security Tester, you will be responsible for assessing the security posture of our products through various penetration testing methodologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend remediation strategies to ensure the integrity and security of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on our products to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the security infrastructure.
- Perform thorough analysis of test results and provide detailed reports outlining findings, including severity levels and recommended remediation actions.
- Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and address security vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve our security testing processes.
- Develop and maintain automated tools and scripts to streamline penetration testing activities and improve efficiency.
- Participate in security reviews and discussions to proactively identify potential security risks during the development lifecycle.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on security testing techniques and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
- Proven experience in conducting penetration tests on web applications, mobile applications, and network infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors (e.g., OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25) and demonstrated ability to exploit them.
- Proficiency in using penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, etc.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and custom tool development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically to address complex security challenges.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and code review methodologies.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
- Contributions to the security community such as research publications, conference presentations, or open-source projects.
