Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with extensive experience in Core Java, Selenium, and API Automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong Java programming skills, hands-on experience with API automation (using REST, Karate), and a proven track record of working with automation frameworks. A strong understanding of handling JSON files and basic knowledge of Performance Testing (PT) is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for API and UI testing using Selenium, Java, and Karate.
- Write, execute, and maintain test cases for REST API automation.
- Handle JSON files for API testing and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Perform SQL queries to verify database integrity and test backend processes.
- Contribute to Performance Testing (PT) efforts, ensuring system stability under varying loads.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring their resolution.
- Continuously improve automation processes to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices.
Mandatory Skills:
- 7+ years of experience as an SDET with strong proficiency in Java and Selenium.
- 5+ years of experience in Core Java.
- Expertise in API Automation using REST and Karate.
- Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.
- Experience with handling and validating JSON files.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries for database validation.
- Basic knowledge of Performance Testing (PT) and its impact on system performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation tests.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of version control tools like Git.
