Job Description Senior Lab Incharge
Work Timings : 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, and on defined working Saturdays.
Job Summary : The Senior Lab Incharge is responsible for the smooth functioning of all three science laboratories- Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in accordance with the standards specified by the IB school
Duties:
Laboratory preparatory work
- Scientific knowledge and understanding and ability to handle lab equipment
Organize and prepare the labs for class sessions and examinations- Maintain work area and equipment in the prep lab
Work with teachers and head of the science departments to plan
- Work with the teachers and follow guidelines while setting and adhering to safety standards
Maintain, construct and operate equipment- Carry out tests to verify material supplied
Inventory Management- Create and follow a process oriented approach towards managing all lab requirements
Identify materials required for all labs and liase with procurement team
- Maintain a check on stock and prepare purchase orders in time to ensure timely
delivery of material
- Liase with vendors and ensure material purchased is the best quality and approved by
the department head
- Check material for expiry and manage disposal of waste.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelors in Science
Experience Required
2 to 6 years experience as a lab technician in a leading ICSE or IB school
