Role and responsibilities
- Technical Development: Design, develop, and implement robust, sustainable, and scalable solution with SAP technologies. This includes both backend (ABAP, SAP HANA) and frontend (SAP Fiori/UI5) development. Guide team to set up cleaner core and develop an alternative solution.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with solution team and/or business stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- System Integration: Integrate SAP systems with other enterprise applications and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the SAP development process. Explore and develop future technology in-line with product roadmaps.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality and performance of developed solutions. Develop and support AMS partners to adhere to Wartsila SAP developments guidelines and best practises in application development area.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide technical support for SAP applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary fixes and enhancements. Instruct/guide other developers in problematic cases.
- Documentation : Manage solution documentations relevant to your solutions, such as functional & technical design, RCA, application governance, concept design etc
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, architects, business analysts, and other developers, to explore new functionality & deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements for the position :
- Completed Bachelor/masters degree in technology or computer science from recognized institute.
- Minimum 10 years of professional & proven experience in SAP development.
- Working knowledge and hand-on experience in
- CAP / RAP programming models
- Side-by-side and key-user extensibility concepts
- Experience with SAP Integration (PI/CPI/Integration Suite) & Rise with SAP Cloud solutions would be an added advantageous.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) & Agile (Scrum) software development lifecycle would be advantageous.
- Excellent Problem-solving, decision-making, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, and Excellent communication and fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
