JOB OVERVIEW
We seek an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our agile IT team, dedicated to delivering innovative and robust Salesforce solutions aligned with our organizational goals. The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of customized solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and a passion for developing creative solutions to business problems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Architect, design, and implement efficient, scalable, and reusable Salesforce solutions that align with business needs.
- Develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce functionalities, including Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components, to enhance user experience and support business processes.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues to maintain optimal platform performance.
- Collaborate with business users and cross-functional IT teams to gather detailed requirements and design innovative, integrated solutions.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs to ensure seamless data flow and enhanced functionality across platforms.
- Participate in code reviews regularly, contributing to and establishing development standards and best practices.
- Stay current with the latest Salesforce releases and features to ensure solutions are built on sustainable, current technology and are not dependent on retiring or expiring features.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions, integrations, and API configurations to support long-term maintainability and cross-team communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce automation tools, including Process Builder, Flow Builder, and Lightning App Builder, with a comprehensive understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations and APIs for connecting with external systems, including Data Warehouses, iOS applications, and Web Services.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Salesforce DX) to streamline development and deployment.
- Proven ability to create and maintain technical documentation for Salesforce solutions, including API integrations, supporting solution development and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data management tools for effective integration with Data Warehouse systems.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PDI) certification.
- Experience with commercial, marketing, and contract business processes.
- Experience with P2P, ERP, HRIS, CLM, and Smartsheet.
- Background in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical industry, or other regulated sectors.
