Senior Sales Officer - Institutional Sales & Govt Business
This position reports to Manager - CSD, Govt. & Institutional Business and is based at Mumbai.

Role reports to: Manager - CSD, Govt. & Institutional Business
Location: Mumbai
What you will do
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management (Business Results & Distribution Structure)
Identifies and cultivates New prospects and clients
Initiates and follows up on new business opportunities
Leads new business meetings and closes sales to institutional Business
Responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals from government-owned entities or government-run agencies or GeM portal
Duties will include identifying sales opportunities, seeing that our company if qualifies for the sales opportunity bids for it successfully. BDE will also prepare necessary documents and files to submit in given time
Leverages the organization's relationship with existing institutional accounts by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives
Develops and maintains relationships with New institutional/ channel partners / distributors
Co-ordination within time, client and our suppliers will also be required. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process, and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role is an advantage. Previous experience in government bid submissions also is an advantage. Responsibly lead administrative tasks, reporting of sales/engagement, outcomes of sales activities, submission of expense reports, etc
Providing information and support as required to secure sales
Utilizing support from other departments as needed to support in achieving objectives
Developing sales of new products and searches for new areas in which to sell existing products
Preparing reports detailing sales activities and identifying issues that need to be addressed
Reviewing own sales performance against objectives and adjust focus as indicated to achieve sales goals Studies and fulfills territory coverage plan which defines the type of support and frequency of customer contact required to meet territory goals. Recommends plan adjustments as needed
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Education: Required Graduation, Preferred MBA
Required Years of Related Experience:
5-8 year of experience in FMCG Sales
Preferably should have handled institutional Business and Govt business or is currently handling such a profile
Must have demonstrated ability to create sales/relationship opportunities with clients, prospects
Other Personal Attributes Required:
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to close business
High degree of attention to detail Public speaking, research, and writing abilities Market knowledge and meeting sales goals Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe PDF and Microsoft/Google Suite products. To be fluent in Hindi and English
