Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Sales Executive/ Asst Manager/ Manager to join our team in the Pharmaceutical & Life Science Instruments sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in the life sciences industry, with 2-3 years of relevant experience in sales or business development, specifically related to laboratory instruments, equipment, or reagents used in pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Drive sales and business growth in the pharmaceutical and life sciences instrumentation sector within the assigned territory (Gujarat/Ahmedabad).
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including academic institutions, research labs, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology firms.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Support:
- Provide expert advice and technical support to clients regarding pharmaceutical, biotech, and life science instruments and related technologies.
- Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers.
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to effectively position products and solutions to meet client needs.
- Market Research & Reporting:
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities, track competitors, and understand customer requirements.
- Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to the management team.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on promotional campaigns, product launches, and customer feedback.
- Coordinate with the service and support teams to ensure smooth post-sales service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in sales or business development within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or laboratory instrumentation sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business in a B2B environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of laboratory instruments, equipment, reagents, and software used in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements in life sciences and pharmaceuticals.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Location Preferences:
Based out of Gujarat or Ahmedabad, with the ability to travel within the assigned region for client meetings and business development.
