What does it take
You will be responsible for monitoring safety for all process operations of propulsion test rigs used to simulate and test launch vehicle systems for orbital missions. This is a unique opportunity to work with launch vehicle systems in the private sector in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Review P&IDs from a safety perspective and provide feedback to the design team
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessement for various processes including cryo operations.
- Coordinate with the project execution team to communicate and support process safety requirements.
- Lead and monitor all propulsion tests as safety director
- Conduct technical evaluations of vendor specifications for safety items.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in basic process engineering, safety studies, HAZOP, risk assessment, etc.
- Proficiency in understanding P&IDs and process systems.
- Experience in process operations for O&G, refinery, petrochemical, and chemical projects.
- Profiency in handling cryogenic operations - LN2, LOX storage, handling and transfer operations
Other Skills:
- - Ability to manage various stakeholders in the project.
- - Excellent technical writing skills in English.
- - Experience in plant operation and familiarity with various process equipment is an added advantage.
- - Strong communication skills, team player, and quick learner.
**Qualification:**
- - B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Process Safety Engineering.
- - Minimum of 6 years of experience in process and engineering safety.
