About the company

INFOMERICS Valuation and Rating Private Limited is a SEBI registered and RBI accredited Credit Rating Agency. Infomerics employs credit rating models which have been developed in-house with the aid of inter-alia, ML based frameworks to estimate probability of default. Infomerics has its Registered Office and Head Office at New Delhi, Corporate office in Mumbai and Branches pan India. Infomerics has a JV for credit Rating at Nepal and has ambitious plan to expand overseas.

Job Description

Position- Manager

Role- Creative Member of the Risk Modelling Team in a Leadership role

Location- Mumbai

Qualifications

  • Relevant Masters Degree
  • Any progress towards CFA/FRM will be preferred.

Skill-sets Requirement

  • Thorough understanding of credit risk assessment and rating process for corporates.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Excel
  • Good Knowledge of Statistical techniques.
  • Preferrable to have knowledge of AI/ML techniques

Experience- Experience of 4 to 5 years in the relevant field

Compensation- Upto 20 LPA

Responsibilities

Model Development

Development of various general and sector specific risk assessment models

  • Conceptualization and development of excel based sector specific risk assessment models using expert judgment and statistical techniques.
  • Testing, finetuning and finalization of models.

Model Validation

  • Out of Sample / Out of Time Validation of Rating Models using quantitative tests like Gini Coefficient, Confusion Matrix etc.

Model Recalibration/Review

  • Recalibration/Review of existing models on the basis of Model Validation results, statistical and AI/ML based analysis and expert judgment.

Computation of Cumulative Default Rates (CDRs), Average Rating Transition Rates and Gini Coefficient.

Mentoring and Team Management

  • Effective Communication and motivation to the team.
  • Providing guidance to the team.
  • Delegation and Performance evaluation.

General

  • Benchmarking exercise using internal and external data from sources like Capitlaline and Prowess (CMIE).
  • Presentation to the Model Development and Review Committee (and to the Rating Sub Committee of the Board, if necessary).
  • Preparation of related documentation like User manuals with the help of the team.
  • During the regulatory inspections, handling issues related to rating models and other statistical computations like CDRs, rating transition rates, Gini Coefficient etc.
  • Preparation of related responses to regulatory queries.
  • Co-ordination with vendor teams for configuration of new and revised models in the software application.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of models and various functionalities in the software system.
  • Conducting regular training programmes related to rating models for the rating team.
