Job Description

Job Overview:

Acquis Compliance is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Regulatory ComplianceAnalyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing Full Material Disclosure (FMD) documents, test reports, and ensuring that our client's products comply with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. The Senior Materials Analyst will collaborate with Acquis Compliance's Regulatory and Compliance Team to enhance the development, implementation, and promotion of Acquis's substance database and Declarable Substance List (DSL) solutions for companies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Acquis's Regulatory and Compliance Team on all chemistry-related matters.
  • Possess a deep understanding of FMD standards such as IPC 1752, IPC 1754, and IEC 62474.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Declarable Substance Lists (DSLs) based on regulations, client-specific lists, or surveys.
  • Identify and assign substances to substance groups based on chemical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of substance uses within materials and products across various industries.
  • Understand intrinsic properties of substances, compounds, and other qualities related to the hazards of substances.
  • Identify and present recommendations that will influence the direction and methodology of how our customers utilize Acquis's solutions to determine risks associated with substances in their products.
  • Engage in active research and commit to ongoing learning to stay up-to-date on regulatory and industry-led developments and trends in substances, substance groups, chemistry, and regulatory lists.
  • Experience dealing with materials testing labs for compliance will be an added advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 plus years of experience in product Material compliance.
  • Proven experience in regulatory environmental compliance within electrical/electronic or other complex product OEMs.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations such as REACH, Prop 65, PFAS, EU MDR, WEEE, Battery and others material compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
