Senior Quality Engineer I
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Test Automation Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software testing, a passion for automation, and hands-on experience with Cypress. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience.

This role is an Automation engineer, as a QA team member, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure product quality from the initial concept through to deployment. We are looking for someone who loves for learning new things and interested in helping create a key technology hub for Nexis Solutions.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress on UI and API applications
Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and design effective test cases.
Build and manage Cypress-based test automation frameworks and tools.
Execute and analyze automated test scripts to identify and report bugs and issues.
Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain intact with new updates
Generate and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the overall testing strategy.
Requirements:
Minimum 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in any Test automation
Minimum 2 years experience using the Cypress or related framework (e.g., Appium, Cucumber, Selenium in UI and API testing.
Willing to implement automation using new tools and techniques.
Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) and their services
Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or NUnit.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
