Senior Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will work as part of the product engineering team responsible for developing testing strategies to effectively test both backend and frontend web technology. The ideal candidate will have basic programming skills such as Python and Node.js, working knowledge of Linux operating system, test automation with Selenium or equivalent, networking and web infrastructure, hands-on experiences with Linux Shell command line tools and other industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Work and collaborate closely with the product engineering team to define test strategy

• Estimate QA deliverables, design test strategies and create test plans, setup test environment and execute to define QA schedules

• Document test results, analyze and report bugs and errors found during testing and post production.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction

• Define and report key quality metrics to measure testing status and effectiveness

• Troubleshoot customer issues and interface with appropriate engineers to facilitate issue resolution

• Design and develop new automated tests leveraging automated testing tools and framework

• Continuous integration process improvement and innovation

• Potentially leading a small distributed team of quality engineers

Requirements

• 3-5 years of industry experience with testing methodologies

• Understanding of HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web and browser concepts

• Hands-on experience developing test automation using Python, Node.js, JavaScript or equivalent is a plus

• Familiar with enterprise software quality requirements

• Excellent communication skills

• Comfortable and adaptable in a high-paced and informal environment

• Experience testing within virtual environments a plus

• BS/BA or relevant experience preferred
