JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable Sr. Quality Analyst to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance domain, including P&C, Life, Health, and others, with a primary focus on P&C and at least one additional vertical. Proven experience in product understanding, strategizing, and managing end-to-end testing efforts is essential, along with hands-on expertise in insurance IT systems such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, SSP, Majesco, and similar platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Product Understanding: Deeply understand insurance products, business processes, and regulatory requirements to ensure comprehensive and accurate testing. Reviews andvalidates requirements and technical specifications.
- Test Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute robust QA strategies and test plans that align with business objectives and project requirements. Define testing scope, objectives, and success criteria for various insurance products.
- Test Design: Develop and script detailed functional and business test cases based on product requirements. Highly experienced in creating test data depending on the different forms of user data.
- Test Execution and Defect Management: Proven experience in defect management indiagnosing issues, understanding the root cause, prioritizing, and collaborating with developers for resolution.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Communicate test results and defects effectively to stakeholders and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- End-to-End Testing Management: Oversee & review all phases of the testing lifecycle, including test case design, test execution, defect management, and test reporting. Ensure thorough coverage of functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Automation and Web Services Testing: Utilize automation tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Conduct web service testing to validate APIs and integration points, ensuring that they meet performance, security, and functional requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to gather requirements, identify testing needs, and resolve issues.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve QA processes and methodologies.Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing test practices and automation strategies.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior QA team members. Share best practices and contribute to the overall growth and development of the QA team.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 4+ years of experience in the Insurance domain
- Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and the testing life cycle
- Highly experienced in Product testing with multiple integrations and complex data sets
- Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, draws valid conclusions, and provides solutions
- Proven experience in creating quick start accelerators for better coverage, quality, and faster execution
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Experience in Agile Framework and Methodologies
- Ability to work proactively and self-managed
- Familiarity in SQL for performing Database Validation related testing
- Experience in test automation tools (Playwright) and web service testing tools (REST Assured, Postman), knowledge of scripting languages such as Typescript, Python, or JavaScript is a plus
- Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ADO, BrowserStack, Xray) and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus
Qualification & Experience:
Qualification:
- Degree in BE/ BTech in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Certifications in ISTQB, CSTE, CQAP or CSQE [Any 2 certifications are recommended]
Experience:
- Industry: Insurance (P&C Mandatory, Life Insurance, Pensions, Health Insurance Optional with experience in one of them is great to have)
- Technology Platforms: Working experience in any of the leading Insurance Core Enterprise Technology Platforms (SSP, Guidewire)
- Working experience in Core Business Functions, by Vertical: Policy, Billing, Claims, and Reinsurance (min two business functions E2E)
- 4 to 6 years, as Sr. Quality Analyst managing QA Teams
