About Your Role

The Juniper Square engineering team is growing fast. As a QA Manager, you will lead and develop a group of QA individuals who support different engineering teams and can deliver a rapidly evolving software platform.

Your role is to collaborate with the leadership team to deliver on the team's objectives and support engineering teams throughout the execution of both engineering and product roadmap projects, building the automation roadmap while setting and maintaining processes and a high-quality standard.

What You'll Do

Be a leader on the team, influencing and empowering others to do their best work
Partner with engineering and product leaders to ensure requirements are documented, understood, tested, and accurately covered in regression and automated tests
Partner closely with engineering and DevOps teams to develop an automation strategy and roadmap, including specific KPIs and targets.
Guide the planning process and effectively communicate with stakeholders to identify and resolve dependencies
Follow established qa best practices and methodologies
Identify and develop tracking and reporting of qa metrics and KPIs for assigned projects
Provide context to your team and drive alignment toward the business objectives
Support engineering teams in building and delivering high-quality software, leveraging your previous quality assurance expertise
Build quality relationships with team members, including direct reports, technical leaders, and other managers
Coach and guide the development of QA engineers on your team
Collaborate with engineering leaders and technical recruiting teams to refine our hiring process and build a high-caliber QA team

Qualifications

3+ years of experience managing QA teams
10+ years of experience growing through the engineering career ladder either as an engineer, qa tester, or SDET
An excellent technical background with prior experience in flushing out automation frameworks (integration, performance, load, accessibility)
Tactical problem-solving skills and the readiness to get in the weeds when necessary
Effective written and verbal communication skills and a strong ability to articulate complex ideas at both a conceptual and deeply technical level
Proven ability to collaborate with product managers and engineers to build plans, set expectations, and successfully deliver projects
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment in a fast-growing team
An excellent qa background with solid hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining productivity tools (Jira projects, filters, and dashboards; TestRail integration and reporting; Confluence reports and documentation; Automation tools for CI/CD)
