About the Team
The ILS product team is a dynamic group comprised of multiple agile scrum teams, consisting of Product Owners, Developers and Quality Assurance team, all dedicated on keeping ILS the market leader in leasing finance. As a Senior QA Engineer for the ILS product team, you will be responsible for planning and executing quality and testing activities as part of a scrum team to determine suitability of functionality for release to our customers. You will be responsible for mentoring fellow QA members and adhering to established protocols and best practices related to our quality practice and guide the team on testing API/ Micro-services.
About the Position Solifi is seeking an innovative Senior Quality Engineer in our Quality Engineering team. The chosen candidate will plan tests and carry out testing procedures on the solutions put in place to meet the needs of our products businesses. We're looking for someone who is highly technical, has a good sense of how to solve problems, is an excellent communicator, and is eager to work as a team. This position entails managing daily QA tasks for the scrum team, including functional, regression, API, and micro-services testing.
Role and Responsibilities Recommend changes or improvements to existing processes, methods, and technologies that improve product quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
Develop and conduct test plans and test cases, including test scripts, results, execution, shared responsibilities, deadlines and test environment
Develop test cases based on requirements and implement test plans to assure software meets project specifications and design
Implement test plans and test cases, and supervise inspections and testing of components.
Good at test and defect management tools like Zephyr
Strong Understating of REST and SOAP web services
Integration testing - Write execute Test cases to validate communication paths and interactions between components within each micro-service.
Component testing -Verification of micro-service behavior with the help of API mocking tools.
Contract testing to verify the real communication between micro-services.
Develop Test stubs/ test doubles, Service Virtualization suites, maintain Test scripts & check integrations
Perform exploratory testing with a focus on identifying and documenting defects
Review defects and test logs to identify root causes and suggest solutions for improving testing, documentation, and process improvement
Perform research and write new test cases
Document test data and results
Able to write good SQL queries
Ability to Capture UI properties using xPath or CSS locators
Understand product lifecycle concepts and participate in the test planning process
Ability to Multitask and pay strong attention to details
Provide training to other QA engineers in the team.
About You
As an experienced Senior QA engineer, we would expect you to have a minimum of 6 years experience in
a similar position.
Experience configuring and running functional automated software tests.
Experience in testing API/ Micro-services (Integration, Component, Contract testing)
Experience working with JIRA, Zephyr, Jenkins, GIT
Testing of Web Front-End Technologies like JavaScript and HTML. Good understanding of source control
tools (SVN/GIT).
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Preferred Experience Level 7 years
Preferred Education Level Bachelor's Degree
