Location - Pune, India

Role Description

Senior QA Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes:

• Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
• Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
• Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
• Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability
• Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.

Your key responsibilities

Key Responsibility for Platform Shared Service Squad -

• Oversee the applications under management
• Ensure the application compliance with Deutsche Bank IT policies, manage software licenses and vendor products
• Enhance and support applications by L3 development, test, deploy and maintain software components
• Manage individual project or task priorities, deadlines and deliverables etc.
• Continuous improvement and planning
• Increase Automation coverage for PB and build automation capabilities.
• Bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data
• Directly interact with a broad spectrum of stakeholders in multiple regions
• Liaise with other technical areas, conducting technology research, and evaluating software required for maintaining the development environment
• Accountable for TRM compliances and Responsible for VRM as and when required

Chapter Lead role for ITAO

• Hiring and ensuring the chapter members have appropriate competencies and skills
• Personal and Professional development of chapter members
• Empowering and motivating chapter members to put their weight behind the business strategy
• Enable chapter to define standards, guidelines and best practices for the chapter
• Regularly organize alignment meetings on chapter specific topics to update colleagues on new developments
• Build chapter cohesiveness, collaboration and members satisfaction
• Work closely squad members to develop technical solutions in line with priorities
• Act as a leader, instilling confidence to the overall squad and being front-runner and example for the whole team
• Development of professional working relationships with various stakeholder groups across all seniority levels

Your skills and experience

Competencies & Experience:

• Very good in communicating and comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels within the client organization in an empathic and efficient way and excellent English skills
• 6+ years of experience Platform/Core Banking Applications/ITAO experience/Java/Cloud expertise
• Hands on experience in Risk and control Topics
• Solid experience in designing and developing scalable and distributed applications, Java and Cloud experience
• Able to install and configure DevOps tools
• Able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities of delivery
• Willing to collaborate across domains and regions, for efficiency in technology sharing and reuse
• Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies

Professional Experience & Skills:

• Proven and Hands on experience developing software solutions in Java in a collaborative environment
• Solid experience in Java, Java related technologies (for Front-end and middle layer) and Oracle (for backend) development
• Experience In Java/ Selenium, Appium tools.
• Excellent knowledge of framework creation and implementation, very good understanding of test automation principles and guidelines.
• Experience in DevOps configuration management tools
• Experience with tooling across the SDLC: Sonar, Crucible, JI RA, H P ALM, Confluence, Artifactory, Teamcity, Git/BitBucket etc.)
• Solid experience in regards of observability i.e. monitoring, logging, tracing, etc.
• Experience with Web (Apache), Application Servers (Tomcat) and database (Oracle, SQL/PL-SQL)
• Experience or knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Experience or Knowledge on job scheduling tools (tools like ControlM, Zena, Tivoli)
• Problem solving skills, ability to dive deep to find the root of the problem
• Hands on experience on testing automation frameworks and tools
• Familiar with ALM test management tool
