Role - Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Shift - General
About the Role:
Morningstar is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to drive quality in the software platform, someone who will work with Product Managers to understand new feature projects requirement and create/maintain complex automated test cases.
The successful candidate will be obsessed with quality improvement and automating tests for regression and new features.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include understanding customer use cases, diving deep into software development, and developing QA approaches to measure confidence in the product. You will work directly with development teams, product managers and peer QA teams to iteratively improve our software development process.
- Design and build a test automation framework
- Gain a deep understanding of business
- Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal
- proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
- Be a true team player, able to work with multiple people at any given time
- Strong ability to write code using C# programming and Javascript scripting language
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of working experience.
Good to have:
AWS basic knowledge is a plus
