Job Title: Senior Purchase Executive

Job Summary:
The Senior Purchase Executive is responsible for overseeing the procurement activities within the organization. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, and maintaining inventory levels to meet the company's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure quality and reliability.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
Procurement Process:
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to payment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
Negotiation:
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.
Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and value addition.
Review and approve purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to forecast demand.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and obsolescence.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and performance metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and support to junior purchase executives.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the procurement team.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage risks related to procurement activities and develop mitigation strategies.
Stay updated on industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
