Your Role and Responsibilities
We're looking for someone who's going to win our client's confidence by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the markets in which they operate, how the media works and a diligent approach to delivering flawless documents. To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us experience in:
- Mapping the relevant media universe for our clients
- Writing press releases
- Pitching stories to the media, following up and sharing coverage updates with clients
- Managing documentation related to the client and internal work
- Working with senior team members on converting new business opportunities
How We'd Expect You To Split Your Time
Very thoughtfully. But here's an indicative split as a guide:
- Client Relationship Management: 20%
- Media Relations: 50%
- Team Management & Mentorship: 20%
- New Business Development: 10%
What You'll Need (must haves for the role) :
- 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in sectors like technology, technology led social impact and/or healthcare
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism/ Mass Communications/ Public Affairs/ Public Relations or a related field
- Proficiency in editing, writing and formatting of documents
- Experience of successfully managing client events (press conferences, media briefings, interactions and follow-ups at national and regional level)
What Would Be Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Journalism/ Mass Communications/ Public Affairs/ Public Relations or a related field
- Experience managing technology or healthcare account portfolios
- Ability to integrate social media into PR plans
- Freshly brewed coffee-making skills. But don't worry, we won't judge you for it.
