Senior Project Manager

This key role within the Global Technology Department will deliver specific and approved projects in the best interests of the customer, managing budget, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, schedule, and resources to deliver desired project benefits. This role will be supporting UK & Lloyd's, Europe and APAC Insurance Applications including theframe, Genius, Wild Commercial, Underwriting Workbench, Artist, Phoenix and WaterTrace.

What will your essential responsibilities include

.Management of complex projects within the framework and governance model in use at AXA XL (both Agile and Waterfall).

.Comprehensive Project definition and initiation, including scope, cost, time and quality estimates.

.Building effective project teams and establish excellent working relationships with project stakeholders.

.Preparing and maintaining up to date project plans and budget forecasts collaboratively with all key project team members.

.Outstanding risk, issue and dependency management, proactively identifying and mitigating items to keep projects on track.

.Managing scope, including change controls.

.Mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced Project Managers.

.Initiating improvements to existing Project Management and Governance processes.

.Establishing and maintaining an effective partnership with the Project Management Office and other teams as required.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

.Relevant years of experience managing complex projects and programs of $1M+.

.Insurance industry and Ceded Re experience is required.

.Experience of running multiple projects simultaneously.

.Ability to provide innovative solutions based on outstanding understanding of business objective.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

.Relevant years of experience managing complex projects and programs of $1M+.

.Effective problem solving with a willingness to pursue creative solutions.

.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior leaders.

.Experience of benefits driven change and minimum viable product concepts.

.Prince 2, SCRUM Master, Scaled Agile (SAFE), PMP Certification (or equivalents) is desirable.

.Proficient user of project management tools for example MS Project, MS Office Suite, Financial Tracking.
