A typical day of a Senior Project Manager (Non-Technical) in August
As a Project Manager (Non-Technical), your typical day would need:
You will work as part of an overall team, often composed of clients and August's resources, to deliver applications that drive meaningful value and change for our clients. You will lead teams, and have line reporting responsibilities. You will closely work with the sales, and participate in the repeat client meetings. You will: Manage clients during the project life cycle Manages conflicts and issues within team and with clients Manage project budget Decide processes and SOPs to be followed for the project Responsible for project quality, profitability and timely execution of the project PE of team On-boarding, mentoring and coaching to the team Project tracking and making reports Joint Responsibility with Technical Lead: - Weekly Project Demo to the client
- Reports to VP Delivery
- On top of regular delivery work, you provide our clients with advice on digital change
- Meaningfully contribute to agile ceremonies including grooming, planning, scrums, retrospectives.
- Over time, we build out insights and knowledge of the industries that we work in.
- Providing night support with the support of the team as and when required.
- Acknowledging client's urgent messages and emails within a reasonable time frame, even during off hours.
Requirements
As a Senior Project Manager (Non-Technical), you will have a:
- Bachelor or higher degree or PMP certification is a plus
- Experience managing web / mobile / enterprise solutions in a professional development environment;
- Experience leading a team (non-technical part), working with others to solve problems, sharing knowledge and can help grow and mentor the team;
- A passion for digital transformation and technology;
- Experience in agile development environments, including ceremonies such as backlog refinement and sprint planning;
- You can work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team-setting;
- You balance logical problem solving with innovative thinking;
- You like building positive client and peer relationships by developing an understanding of customer's business and project scope;
- You can contribute positively to team culture, with a focus on inclusion and diversity;
- Identifying potential opportunities for additional revenue generation;
- Developing analytical and insightful recommendations to meet deliverable targets and complete project tasks within budget and to customer satisfaction;
- Identifying, communicating and solving conflicts or issues to Team;
- Assisting in the development of client proposals;
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills (English)
