Position- Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and the off-highway equipment Dana provides the world's Original Equipment Manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
The Cybersecurity Engineer works in collaboration with the System Engineering teams to contribute to the development of a secure and robust solution covering both hardware and software which may include Hardware Trust Anchor, Secure On-board Communication, Secure Bootloader, Secure Update, and other security controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate static analysis reports from Polyspace (MISRA C, CERT C errors/warnings), assess criticality and impact, and recommend fixes as appropriate
- Support Cybersecurity Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for specified product
- Analyze Vector vulnerability reports for MICROSAR Base Software and HSM (Hardware Security Module) firmware, and assess impact to projects based on the configurations used
- Actively work with Lead Cybersecurity Engineers/Cybersecurity Specialists to contribute to Product Cybersecurity design concepts based on customer and Dana internal Cybersecurity requirements
- Evaluate customer Cybersecurity requirements for acquisitions and support with effort estimations for development
- Support Cybersecurity activities such as hardening ECU hardware and software against cyberattack, as assigned per project in relation to meeting stakeholder requirements
- Work with multiple Dana and external stakeholders to drive Cybersecurity-related activities and tester development for Dana manufacturing and End-of-Line
- In collaboration with global Dana Cybersecurity team, follow ASPICE Cybersecurity process, methods and tools development within Dana Business Units as needed
- Assist in cybersecurity training and awareness within the Business Units as needed
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Embedded Cybersecurity (automotive preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in Embedded System/Software development
- Knowledge of cryptography
- Knowledge of industry standards related to Cybersecurity (UNECE WP.29, ISO/SAE 21434, etc.)
- Ability to work independently as required and take ownership of project deliverables
- Proactive networking skills and ability to drive initiatives through the organization
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills as demonstrated through executed production programs
- Experience with Jira, Polarion, Azure or similar tools
- Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO26262
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Certifications in Cybersecurity is a plus
