About The Role
As the Knovel Tech team's coordinator, you will manage source file flow, organize archives, and ensure timely publication. Your responsibilities include communicating freezes, monitoring errors, resolving cataloging issues, updating production instructions, and managing BISAC/THEMA codes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating flow of source files to Knovel Tech team and suppliers and manage archive of sources and unpublished titles
- Monitoring publishing errors (CAPAs) with a focus on minimizing rework. Queue weekly publish to PROD and notify stakeholders about freezes
- Resolving cataloging problems reported by customers or discovery services
- Updating instructions for static content production. Support production automation and observability
- Maintaining list of BISAC/THEMA codes for Knovel. Manage publisher list for Knovel and maintain edition linking
- Reviewing KBART/OCLC reports and supplier invoices. Support product team in improving discovery service performance
Requirements
- Have Masters of Library or Information Science
- Have fluency in industry standards and best practices in bibliographic metadata including ONIX, OCLC, discovery services, subject classification (e.g., BISAC, THEMA)
- Have excellent research skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, XML and SQL. Working knowledge of a scripting languages (e.g., Python)
- Have experience in project and stakeholder management
