Senior Production Engineer

Role/ Job Title:
Senior Production Engineer Payment Application.

Function/ Department

: Information Technology.

Job Purpose:
The role entails the responsibility of providing production support to bank's software applications. It includes administering and resolving day to day production applications issues, providing updates and perform root cause analysis.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, measure and report on key service-level metrics.

Lead various payment application's team for Production Support.

Ensure the daily BAU and SOPs are executed with defined SLAs.

Ensure the closure of the issues on time, preparation of detailed RCA of issues.

Strive for continuous improvement of incident management process and integration with other IT operations management processes.

Build and maintain relationships with all IT units to ensure that IT-delivered services and end-user productivity goals are understood and exceeded.

Perform collaboration sessions and develop action plans to address the knowledge transfer from the application development team for new releases.

Contribute to problem solutioning, change, release, knowledge and ensure BCP/DR activities are planned and conducted.

Track resolution of all open issues, be part of the solutioning team for war room / discussions.

Manage audit queries related to Payment Application's Production environment.

Vendor Management

Manage the right support level and resource shift management.

Must have worked in Payment Vertical.

Have strong knowledge of Payment Systems.

Have strong experience in Production support.

Have deep knowledge of oracle/SQL/LINUX and server-side technology/architecture

Well versed with payment & regulatory concepts.

Understand networking concepts, firewalls, Clustering.

Have critical analysis and troubleshooting skills.

Educational Qualification (Fulltime):
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
