Competencies Required:
5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a total of 6-8 years of total experience preferably within consumer tech startups.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a senior product management role, functioning as a team lead for 2-3 PMs and/or APMs.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in a consumer tech startup environment.
Strong understanding of product management best practices across all verticals and principles.
Technical background preferred, with the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams and a strong technical background in digital products.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and strong number-crunching abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with diverse teams.
User-focused, always eager to spend time with potential users to understand
their problems, requirements, and needs.
Innovative, with the ability to think outside the box and take calculated
risks with creative solution approaches.
Decisive, able to make informed decisions and stand by them.
Market savvy, interacting with domain experts to assess the market impact of products and features; consistently generating ideas to make the product a leader in its market.
Able to work with agile product development teams and identify new ways to enhance team effectiveness; experience with distributed teams is desired.
Inherent interest in e-commerce and marketplace technology platforms, as well as a broad interest in the consumer Internet and mobile space.
Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello) and data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
A qualification in computer science or equivalent, along with hands-on software engineering experience.
Key Deliverables/KRA Define the product vision and strategy for the product in alignment with
company goals.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements to existing offerings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to develop and launch innovative features that enhance user experience and drive growth.
Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on data-driven insights, user feedback, and business goals.
Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on user feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create detailed product specifications and wireframes.
Drive the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Oversee the product development process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve the product.
Monitor key performance indicators and user metrics to evaluate product performance and iterate on strategies as needed.
Analyse user data and feedback to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on product progress and key initiatives.
Communicate product plans, progress, and updates to stakeholders, including executives, team members, and customers.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and user adoption.
