ABOUT THE CHARTER : The Consumption Product team delivers the heart of the UX, i.e. a smooth playback of media - regardless of whether it is audio or video, live or on-demand, short-form or long-form - on all devices to JioCinema
customers.
ABOUT THE ROLE : A high-autonomy individual-contributor who deeply understands the problem space of player and playback experiences in the context of a media streaming app, formulates effective product strategies, and executes excellently by shipping high quality player products while operating rigorously & independently.
What will you do
- PRODUCT STRATEGY:Devise winning product strategies to make media streaming more reliable, error-free, & social,, and communicate a clear product roadmap of prioritised features & initiatives.
- PRODUCT EXECUTION:Ship playback & player products that execute stated strategies effectively through clear & actionable product specs (PRDs, GTM plans, Jira Issues, etc.) and hands-on sprint management to ship high quality products within cost / quality / time budgets. The role also demands a high level of operations energy given the collaboration with multiple teams / vendors / partners for the multiple moving parts in the experience like integrity of source files or streams, meta data, subtitles, audio/video quality, etc.
- INFLUENCING PEOPLE: Influence content teams to master assets in higher quality & add more meta-data in their content.
- CUSTOMER INSIGHT:Generate actionable quant insights. Deeply understand customers expressed & latent needs, wants, and desires. Track metrics obsessively.
