- A Product Designer to work on various products and services, to build experiences that are easy to use while exciting end-users together with the product development team
- As a Product Designer you will follow design and development processes from conceptual mapping and prototyping to production releases
- This is all to be done while integrating functionality, manufacturing, and assembly criteria into the experience design solution
Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively work with teams and individuals having a wide range of skills and contribute to design team activities.
- Brainstorm and communicate new design concepts and solutions to relevant team members.
- Suggest improvements to current products utilizing new technologies, as well as new trends and human behaviours.
- Provide outcome such as presentations, for management reviews and cross-functional teams.
- Collect and analyse data for new products with engineering and manufacturing input.
- Work within defined program milestones and manage project status.
- Coordinate with the development team to work through the design process accurately and efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in product/service design and demonstrate creative proficiency with a supporting portfolio.
- Must be able to solve problems while keeping human-centered solutions in focus.
- Organized and diligent with excellent attention to detail, thorough understanding of the product development process from concept through production.
- Strong sketching, rendering, and graphic design skills utilizing design tools, preferably with Figma.
- Experience with visual systems and practices, including grid layout, iconography, typography; while having curiosity and eye for physical materials is a plus.
- Able to create and communicate new ideas both visually and verbally, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Start-up mindset in collaborative yet rapid changing environment.
- Able to work effectively in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team both virtually and in person.
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree in Design or Product Design.
- Previous experience in automobile or manufacturing industry.
- Figma expertise would be an added advantage.
- Experience building Design Language or Design System projects.
- Expertise on design methodologies, such as Design Thinking, Double Diamond, Lead Design, Design Sprints, etc
