Company Description

Arjun Rathi Design is a Mumbai-based studio that interprets space through the lens of lighting and aims to design fixtures and installations that can inspire us in different environments lit by artificial light. The studio works on both ends of the design spectrum, from single pieces made with craftsmen to mass produced objects developed in collaboration with the manufacturers.

The studio takes care of each project phase, from on-site visits, exploratory studies, design and technical drawings to the final production and space atmosphere. The final product and accessories are always produced in the studio's manufactory, and therefore quality-certified.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Product Designer based in Mumbai.

Roles and responsibilities-

- Foster an inspiring team environment that encourages open communication.

- Establish clear team goals.

- Delegate tasks and set deadlines effectively.

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all work produced.

- Lead and manage the design team, overseeing all ongoing projects.

- Monitor team performance and report on key metrics.

- Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and ensure a smooth experience.

- Present proposals to clients and manage the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) from start to finish.

- Act as the primary point of escalation for any client complaints.

- Maintain the brand's image while delivering products on time.

- Design products using software such as Rhino, AutoCAD, and Keyshot.

- Oversee the design and production of products, from conceptualization to installation.

- Understand the technical aspects of lighting and implement a seamless installation process.

- Obtain approval from the Managing Director (MD) regarding project quotations.

- Maintain records and databases of projects and clients.

- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to provide input on leads.

- Update project details in the application.

- Coordinate with the production coordinator on work orders, production timelines, quotations, quality approvals, and vendor-related inquiries.

- Oversee the entire production process to ensure products meet both brand standards and client specifications.

- Coordinate with studio administration to manage Proforma Invoices and delivery challans.

- Coordinate with the accountant to follow up on pending payments from clients and Tax Invoices.

- Manage the project handover process for the designated team.

- Oversee and approval of final mockups.

- Visit sites to ensure smooth installation processes.

By adhering to these responsibilities, ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet client expectations and align with organizational standards.

**Qualifications:**

- Master's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Product Design, Interior or related field.

- Previous experience in the lighting industry is a plus.

- Proficiency in design software like Rhino 3D, Keyshot, InDesign, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or lighting-specific tools.

- Knowledge of lighting technologies, materials, and industry trends.

- Strong communication, Leadership, and understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
