About the Role:
As a Senior Specialist Procurement within the SCM team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from end to end, ensuring that the company has a continuous supply of the materials and services it needs to meet its business objectives. You'll work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate contracts, evaluate sourcing options, and optimize procurement strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the organization's supply chain goals and business needs.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- RFQ/RFP preparation and management.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) as per Purchase Requisitions (PR).
- Utilize strong negotiation and analytical skills for cost comparison and approval notes.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the logistics team for effective inventory management.
- Handle supplier payments and coordinate with finance.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on procurement activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to overall procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity and existing data compliance procedures.
- Provide regular support and business solutions to internal customers as required.
Knowledge Required:
- Strong understanding of RFQ/RFP processes.
- Expertise in procurement tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Familiarity with supplier payments and coordination with finance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
What Are We Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience in procurement, vendor management, supply chain, or sourcing, preferably in the EV, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive cost savings and optimize procurement processes.
- Experience with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and improve supplier performance and procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in procurement processes.
