Senior Procurement Engineer

Job Description

The Procurement Engineer sources, negotiates, and purchases materials, components, and equipment for manufacturing for one of our client who provides advanced air filtration solutions for polluted environments, leveraging two decades of experience in designing and manufacturing air purification devices and adsorption media. Thier product range includes a variety of impregnated and non-impregnated carbon media in granular and extruded forms, as well as activated carbon spheres, tailored for specific air treatment applications. Procurement Engineers work with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to meet procurement needs.

Responsibilities

1. Developing procurement strategies with cost-effectiveness.
2. Building and maintaining long term reliable suppliers and vendors
3. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
4. Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
5. Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services on time.
6. Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
7. Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
8. Preparing relevant report measure and track effectiveness about sourcing.

Skills and Experience

1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Or Masters in business administration.
2. Proven experience Sourcing / managing supply chain operations.
3. In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
4. Advanced knowledge in spreadsheet with good analytical and problem solving skills
5. Team Management and leadership skills.
6. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
