Role: Senior Platform Engineer

Experience Level: 4 - 6 Years

Role & Responsibilities:

. Develop and deliver automation software required for building & improving the functionality, reliability, availability, and manageability of applications and cloud platforms.

. Design, architect, and build self-service, self-healing, synthetic monitoring and alerting platform and tools

. Must know about configuring the CI/CD pipeline on Jenkins or Github Actions.

. Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery

. Automate the development and test automation processes through CI/CD pipeline (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker containers, using cloud formation).

. Build a container hosting-platform using AWS ECS.

. Expertise in configuring EMR with Apache Hadoop, Spark, and Hive, ensuring cost-effective and high-performance data workflows

. Experience on deploying ML Model to AWS Cloud using native services like Sagemaker and Glue

. Analyze logs and metrics to identify and troubleshoot pipeline issues proactively.

. Implement compliance with organizational IAM policies for the AWS resources.

. Implement cost-effective strategies and monitor cloud usage and spending. . Develop and maintain scripts, utilities, and automation workflows to support DevOps processes.

. Introduce new cloud technologies, tools & processes to keep innovating in the commerce area to drive greater business value.

. Serve as a mentor or guide for junior resources/freshers.

. Provided technical support and troubleshooting expertise for infrastructure-related issues.

. Participated in cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.

Skills Required:

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

. Certifications (Good to Have)- AWS Associate Certification.

. Strong experience of working with Cloud AWS Services

. Should know about these AWS Services (EMR, ECS, IAM, EC2, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, Autoscaling, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ELB, SageMaker etc)

. Should have hands-on experience in writing the Cloudformation templates. (IAAC).

. Should know about the DevOps principles and approaches.

. Should have working knowledge of Docker & Containers.

. Should have experience in writing shell scripts, python scripts.

. Should have experience in configuring the pipelines in Azure Devops/ Github. . Should know about the GitHub workflow and familiar with git bash commands also about github actions.

. Should have experience in troubleshooting operational issues.

. Should know about Agile methodology.

. Experience in advanced areas of networking, including Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies

. Experience with application development concepts and technologies (e.g. CI/CD, Java, Python, Azure Devops, Github Actions)

. Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and/or continuous integration/delivery.

. Customer facing migration experience, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
