Job Description: PHP Developer

Work hours: EST shift (6:00 pm to 3:00 am). It will be a fixed shift.

Key Management Areas of Responsibility:

1. Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications, ensuring functionality, performance, and security.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to define project requirements and deliverables.

3. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

4. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and incorporating feedback received on own code.

5. Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or identified during testing, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.

6. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into our development process.

7. Assist in the optimization of application performance and scalability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies.

8. Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

9. Contribute to the planning and estimation of development tasks, providing input on technical feasibility and implementation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2. 3-4 years of hands-on experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.

3. Proficiency in web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

4. Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, including database design, optimization, and ORM concepts.

5. Understanding of version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.

6. Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.

7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

10. Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.

11. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is desirable.
