Job Title: Senior Performance Test Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Retail Technology is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

You will be working as a part of Customer Identity & Digital Security Domain within Retail Technology to achieve their strategic objectives through planning, prioritising, delivering and supporting projects and initiatives. Your team's success will be realised through partnering with business and IT teams across both business domain and Technology to deliver beautiful experiences and exceptional capabilities to our branch applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Able to assess the technical risks inherent in a software and infrastructure platforms in respect of performance and resilience.
• Interpretation of System Resource Monitoring outputs to determine pinch points in CPU, Memory, Disk i/o and Network circuits Risk Analysis and articulation of the NFT Approach for a Project Testing Requirement
• Problem Identification by analysis of Application & Database logs to target Support team's effort in the right areas.
• Technical Development of automation scripts based on appropriate HTTPS, SAP Batch, SQL, or Web Protocols to emulate volumes of traffic on the System Under Test
• Tracking Execution and keeping Project Stakeholders informed about Testing progress and escalating issues where necessary.
• Documentation of NFT Test Approach and Test Results in a way that can be understood by both Business & Technical Stakeholders. Creating Knowledge Artefact's for the wider team to use. Training & coaching of new team members.
• JMeter/Blazemeter Scripting.
• Workload Automation (Batch Scheduling)
• Use of Excel Macros to Mock up Data Files
• Database SQL
• Perform code review, refactoring and tech debt elimination.
• Work with the Product Owner to define, prioritise and manage the product backlog to deliver on the productvision, goals, and roadmap.
• Publish and communicate the product strategy and roadmap to stakeholder and teams.
• Assess and prioritise work based on outcomes to deliver maximum value.
• Manage conflicts, issues, and risks to optimise solution and ensure alignment to scope.
• Promote continuous improvement.

Essential Skills:

• 10+ years of performance testing experience. Preferably with Functional Test Automation experience.
• Expertise inPerformance Testingtools using JMeter/BlazeMeter
• Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Workload Design, Test Cases Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Scripting, Defect Management & Test Reporting.
• Execute Benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and other non-functional tests. Monitor application logs to determine system behavior. Address all technical issues facilitate the resolution and necessarily follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.
• Experience in AppDynamics, Splunk, AWS, Azure, and Jira.
• Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage and Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications.
• Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis.
• Publish results and receive appropriate signoff. Prepare detail status reports and monitoring of all defects and issues.
• Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application.
• Lead a team of high performing individuals in delivering projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and very good time management skills.

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree/master's degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
