Ciklum is looking for a Senior Performance Automation QA Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:
As a Senior Performance Automation QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Test Performance Engineer specializing in performance testing for web-hosted, multi-modular commercial software. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of performance testing aspects such as load, throughput, and user concurrency.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated tests with a focus on performance testing
- Prepare and set up a dedicated hosted environment(s) for a range of performance tests, including working with local Sensa NR architects on the generation of appropriate volumes of test data
- Execute iterative performance tests across combinations of different Product modules, with increasing volumes of test data
- Analyze and interpret test results to ensure the software's scalability, reliability, and responsiveness
- Conduct load testing, stress testing, and user concurrency simulations
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks
- Prepare detailed test reports and documentation
- Ensure the process is as automated and repeatable as possible and can be handed over to client Engineering as an ongoing process
Requirements:
- Strong experience in software test automation and performance testing, 5+ years
- Proficiency in Java and experience with Selenium for test automation
- Familiarity with a variety of performance testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling)
- Knowledge of web technologies and architectures
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex data to draw meaningful conclusions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of performance bottlenecks, end-to-end performance measures (server response time, throughput, latency, etc.) and what to be tuned to get better performance and scalability
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to set up a Performance testing process from scratch and plan performance testing activities
- Experience with cloud-based performance testing tools
- Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with K6, Locust
- Experience with APM tools (DataDog, DynaTrace)
- Ability to work with profiling tools (e.g. Jprofile, YourKit)
- Good programming skills
