Warwick Applied Health is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to manage the systems, processes, and day to day activities in a number of key areas, including research governance, directorate administrative support, and employee lifecycle.

They will support the design and establishment of new systems and processes across the Directorate, liaising across the wider Medical School to ensure consistency. Working in a leadership role within the Warwick Applied Health Operations Team, this role provides a real opportunity to make impactful operational improvements, and will be key to embedding structural and cultural change.

About You

Candidates should have significant research governance, management, and finance experience in a Higher Education organisation. They should be highly numerate with experience of creating and using systems to capture and report on research management, financial, and staffing related data. They should have experience of leading and managing teams, and of delivering organisational change. They need exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to make decisions based on complex and varied information.

About The Department

Warwick Applied Health is the largest of the three Directorates within Warwick Medical School, having around 220 staff. Our research spans population and health data science, health technology innovation, and mental health and wellbeing. We have various educational offerings including the MBChB, UG, and PGT courses, alongside having around 80 PGR students.

It is an exciting time to join the Applied Health Directorate as we have a new leadership team and are in the process of implementing our new vision and structure. This role is created as part of this change and will be critical in their deployment.
