An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Responsibilities: (List at least 5 specific job tasks / deliverables to perform to a desired performance level)
- Perform configuration development and release management for the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) system
- Bring fresh perspective/ creative ideas to OIPA implementations in form of reusable assets, plug-n-play components, technically advanced wrappers for similar and repetitive set of configurations/ integrations etc.
- Remote working skillsets like Time Management, Digital Literacy & Oral Communication.
- Implement and Improvise DevOps mechanism during project implementations
- Collaborate with configuration team, technical team and business analysts to ensure a system behavior compatible to new market trends and needs.
- Participate and Own self and team learning buy creating knowledge management reusable assets
- Establish & implement best practices for OIPA configuration and suggest creative ways to inculcate those within team.
- Work to develop & present OIPA demo at various levels using latest OIPA release(s).
- Conduct & develop technical implementation case studies, white papers, blogs to match with latest industry wide technical trends.
Pre-Requisites
- 6-10 years of experience working with the OIPA platform and/or equivalent job experience
- Product Knowledge on OIPA, Rules Palette (10.0 and Above versions).
- Mature, self-starting, self-motivating and capable of making decisions independently
- Strong customer interaction skills and the ability to assess a client's IT (Information Technology) processes and strategies.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Must be able to clearly articulate OIPA solution, issues & resolutions to both clients and colleagues at all levels
- Understanding of standard n tier systems architecture systems processes and principles
- Must be able to demonstrate out of the box thinking capabilities by bringing in creative / un-orthodox ways of solution implementation.
Experience

- Experienced in the implementation of OIPA application and related components.
- Experience in implementation DevOps for OIPA of equivalent packaged software solution.
- Hands on experience on XML and XSD creation. Ability to read and edit XML and properties files
- Working knowledge of Oracle database and data warehouses
- Programming work experience in PL/SQL
- Experience in implementing technology solutions in end-end Content generation & storage scenarios
- Hands on experience in Waterfall as well as agile implementation methodologies
Primary Skills (mandatory)
- Ability to identify and automate / build asset on OIPA configurations.
- Should have created reusable plug-n-play asset for faster implementations.
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Inquisitive and proactive approach with an ability to work independently and a desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies.
- Insurance domain experience (Life & Annuity)
- Hands on experience in cloud implementation of OIPA Or any equivalent packaged software
- Ability to Configure OIPA rules using Rules Palette.
- Strong knowledge of XML and SQL required
- Ability to deliver high-quality projects on time & within scope
- Ability to self-start, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
- Able to instigate creative ideas within team for improvised delivery
Secondary skills / knowledge (desirable)
- PL/SQL and advanced SQL concepts
- Understanding of traditional programming skills (C, C#, Java etc.)
- Knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes and workflow
- Knowledge of AI/ML and adoption in insurance
- LOMA certification and knowledge of typical insurance business functions
- Knowledge of software testing best practices
Special needs (egs. Travel frequency, working in shift, certifications, specific organizations worked in, etc)
- Graduate degree focused on Computer Science, Software Engineering or Systems Engineering
